Question by pa3pa3a: What is the chance of a teenager getting lung cancer?
I’m 17 and have smoked 2-3 cigaretts a day for about a year and decided to quit recently. I have read a sign of lung cancer is shortness of breath which I’ve been having the last 2 days. Is it because I’m craving nicotine that I feel like getting fresh air and having the need to take deep breath?

quit now while you can. takes the body about 6 wks to adjust without nicotine and don’t substitute chewing tobacco unless you want drains coming out of your face or you get a surgical infection or need your tongue/esophagus/neck cut out and you get emphysema.
Lung cancer is possible, rare in your age group even from smoking, but we already have a lethal air pollution problem, so, combined w smoking, who knows. and our food/water supply is tainted, does make your odds increase..how can you afford them anyway? Why do you want to support tobacco grower families in their corrupt lifestyle, now that’s some type of slavery, smoking almost against your will…I could go on, usually just get ugly w yellow teeth, fingers, grey skin /wrinkles from decreased circulation, unless you get a nasty cold/bacteria and die from tar/nicotine in your lungs..
