Mesothelioma Treatment & Information

Mesothelioma Treatment & Information

Article by Stephanie Guindon

Getting credible information about the diagnosis of Mesothelioma, is very important for patients and their love ones. Mesothelioma is an asbestos-related cancer of the lung, or known as the pleura which may cause a patient to become short of breath because they have been exposed to asbestos. Every case is different and sometimes a patient may not show any symptoms at all. Mesothelioma consists of several forms. Pleural Mesothelioma is one of the forms and are cancer cells found in the lining of the abdominal cavity or found in the lining around the heart. This form of cancer can be painful because it can spread through the entire body and cause the organs to shut down. Workers who have been exposed to asbestos do not all contract Pleural Mesothelioma cancer. This cancer could be related to asbestos exposure and not all asbestos exposure is harmful. Asbestos may already be fixated in the walls not causing the particles to be free in the air, effecting workers.

When there are free particles in the air, the workers are exposed to asbestos and that is harmful to the worker and may cause the worker to contract Pleural Mesothelioma. A second form of the cancer is Peritoneal Mesothelioma, which is a rare form of cancer that affects the lining of the abdomen. This cancer is also associated with asbestos exposure and occurs in the tissue lining of the abdominal cavity, which contains fluid that enables the organs to move and work right. Peritoneal Mesothelioma is the most common cancer that is related to asbestos exposure because it is the place where the cancer spreads. This cancer can cause severe health problems and complications for a patient. Normally a patient may experience flu symptoms as well as the swelling of the abdomen. Pericardial Mesothelioma caused from asbestos is another form of cancer, which is also rare affecting the lining surrounding the heart. Pericardium are the cells that produce lubricating fluids which protects the heart allowing the heart to move freely when pumping blood into the other parts of the body. This can cause a patient to have cancer spread through the tissues in the lining of the heart. At this stage, treatments may not be effective and may lead to fatal circumstances.

It may take a patient a long time after being exposed to asbestos, before he or she recognizes symptoms such as chest pain, breathing problems and a continuous cough. Being diagnosed is the first step and even though it can be extremely difficult to detect Mesothelioma symptoms because they are similar to so many other types of cancers your doctor will perform a physical exam and ask you about your exposure to asbestos. Several tests will be done, including chest x-rays, MRI scans or CT scans to determine any abnormal changes. A tissue sample may be obtained to confirm the diagnosis and if your doctor has concluded that you are a patient of Mesothelioma your next step is treatment. Therapy is a form of treatment and there are several kinds of therapies to choose from. Do not be afraid, you are not alone; support is out there to help you fight the cancer and get the treatment you deserve. Will Your Dog Survive From Primary Lung Cancer?

Will Your Dog Survive From Primary Lung Cancer?

Article by Susan Green

A close buddy of mine once asked me this question, “Will my dog stay alive even in his primary lung cancer?” Well, actually, the clock stopped for some seconds for the reason that I couldn’t respond to her question. That prompted me, once more, to perform my research and what I have found will shock you.

Primary lung cancer in dogs is a typical condition that sometimes struck adult and elderly pet dogs. If the lung cancer isn’t primary, then what’s left is secondary. When we say primary lung cancer, it signifies that the lungs and airways became infected, showing a particular mass. In the case of secondary lung cancer, the disease came from other probable tumors that can be found outside the lungs.

Cancers cells in dogs act in the same way as with humans. For example, the cancer cells originating within the mammary glands or bones might multiply through lymphatic system, implanting tumors throughout the lungs.

One very troubling fact about lung cancer in dogs is that they’re asymptomatic, which implies symptomless. Over the early phases of cancer growth, you just can’t simply tell your dog has it.

Statistically, these tumors are only revealed through routine chest x-rays or being examined for unrelated health issues. The findings will turn into an extremely upsetting experience for a lot of pet owners.

Diagnosis of Primary Lung Cancer in Dogs

Clearly, if your pet has lung cancer, he’ll show signs and symptoms like problem in breathing or cough. During day-to-day walk or exercise, he tends to grasp his breath earlier than he accustomed to be. As the illness progresses, he’ll lose appetite or throw up while eating if ever the tumor touches the esophagus.

Taking chest x-ray on your pet is essential to see the severity of the case. Either it’ll show just one mass on a specific area of the lungs or a number of grainy appearances everywhere in the chest area.

Based on the situation, the doctor might take samples of the cancer cells for additional analysis. This can be only possible if ever the tumor is found in the exterior of the lungs.

Another widely held method that’s being employed today is to make use of a medical tool called a bronchoscope. It’s inserted into the airways to biopsy the cancer or injecting a fluid towards the windpipe subsequently sponging it up hoping for a few cancer cells to be collected in the procedure.

After the cancer cells are provided, they are going to be examined under a microscope to spot the type of tumor and forecast to take.

Prognosis of Primary Lung Cancer in Dogs

Reasonably speaking, the survival rate for primary lung cancer in dogs after treatment is one year. For pet dogs showing no indications, tumor confined in a single place and there’s no proof of spreading towards the lymph nodes – the projection could be slightly enjoyable.

If this happens, your dog can enjoy a few years of cancer-free, but ultimately, will develop tumors in the other areas of the lungs.

As pointed out earlier, majority of the lung cancer cases are exposed incidentally during x-rays or maybe your dog is showing the signs or symptoms of the illness or manifesting uncomfortable behaviors.

However, do remember that early detection of the condition could make a tremendous difference in the course of treatment to your dog. If he’s having difficulty in breathing, carry him right away to your vet for proper medical checkup and diagnosis.

What Radical Mesothelioma Treatments Are Available?

What Radical Mesothelioma Treatments Are Available?

Article by Jon Butt

Current radical mesothelioma treatments include chemotherapy treatments, radiation treatments, surgical treatments and experimental therapies and drugs. Research news reports the limited success of present treatments for Mesothelioma.

Mesothelioma research news indicates that traditional treatments viz. single or multi-drug chemotherapy has a response rate of about 20%. Radiation treatments, usually used in conjunction with surgery or chemotherapy treatments can relieve pain and shrink tumors, making breathing easier. However, radiation treatments can also cause severe side effects.

Efforts To Combat Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma can take between ten and sixty years to develop after inhalation of respirable asbestos fibers, but Mesothelioma progresses fast. Radical surgeries as mesothelioma treatments have had limited success. Surgical treatments attempted include extra-pleural pneumonectomy (EPP) and pleurectomy.

Treatment news indicates that in EPP over 15% patients die soon after surgery. EPP involves removal of pleura, diaphragm, pericardium, part of the phrenic nerve and the entire tumor-affected lung and has to be supported by chemotherapy or radiation.

The pleurectomy treatments involve removal of the pleura without removing the whole lung. These treatments are best in patients with good lung expansion who tend to accumulate fluid. In combination with radiation pleurectomy is reported in treatment news to have given 22-month survival in 50% and 24-month survival in 41% cases in a 27-patient group with mesothelioma of the epithelial subtype.

Surgical treatments of mesothelioma have not been shown to offer significant advantages over the limited non-surgical treatments. Experimental drugs under evaluation include treatments by Onconase, Lovastatin and an Endostatin and angiostatin combination.

The Mesothelioma Research Foundation of America is funding research on mesothelioma cure. The USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles has completed Phase I Clinical Trials on a new mesothelioma treatment drug called Veglin.

Phase II Clinical trials of Veglin have begun in July 2004, opening exciting treatment possibilities for mesothelioma victims.

How come some smokers get lung cancer and some never do?

Question by CoachTrip: How come some smokers get lung cancer and some never do?
and non smokers get lung cancer?
.
and if smoking merely increases the chances…..why is there so much hysterical anti-smoking feeling around?

Best answer:

Answer by serengeti_lion
Because it’s sort of like playing a game of gambling. Smoking doesn’t guarantee you will get lung cancer. But it greatly increases the odds that you will.

In the same way, not smoking does not guarantee that you will not get lung cancer. But it greatly reduces the odds that you will. Smoking is not the only cause of lung cancer. Exposure to other inhaled carcinogens, such as radon, can also play a role.

mesothelioma-lung-cancer6A Lung Cancer Survivor’s Tale and the Appeal of Early Detection

Article by Homer Farrell

This style of lung cancer might impact the brain, the liver, the adrenal glands and the bone.Normally, a lung cancer is not detected on its early stage. Most signs or symptoms get started to manifest only at the later on stage of the sickness. Some stage 4 lung cancer symptoms are persistent coughing and from time to time with bloody mucous, shortness of breath, hoarseness of voice, problems in swallowing, tenderness of muscle tissues with intolerable muscle pains, repeated event of pneumonia or bronchitis and tiredness. Impacting the brain, the indicators are significant headaches, vision adjustments and seizure attacks. For the liver and adrenal glands, a cancer individual might encounter stomach soreness, fever, yellowish skin, swollen legs, weight reduction and loss of appetite. Bone breakage happens even when there is no injury that took spot. Observe nonetheless that diverse men and women may perhaps demonstrate different indicators as this will count on the other organs affected. An individual should undergo several checks when most of the warning signs manifest. Stage four lung cancer can be diagnosed through a variety of exams like chest x-rays, bone scans, CT scans or MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), ultrasound and other blood tests. After taking all the important checks and a diagnosis has been produced, an person who is said to have this disorder is entitled to get a 2nd view, soon after all, its his everyday living that is at stake. Be aware even so that this lung cancer has no additional cure but there are remedy approaches that an particular person may well undergo to lower ache at a certain degree, slow down the growth of cancer cells and extend his everyday living. The frequent solutions proposed to sluggish down the spread of cancer cells for stage four lung cancer are chemotherapy, radiation therapy and in some scenarios the mix of the two. Why not surgical treatment? Surgery at this point in time is not advised for the reason that as stated, this stage is characterized with the spread of tumors in different organs. The reason of surgical treatment is to clear away the organ impacted with tumor. To clear away all the organs with tumor will just make the cancer individual weaker and may well even be the induce for him to pass absent sooner than he should. Chemotherapy, as a treatment, tends to make use of chemical agents to destroy the cancer cells. There are 3 strategies to get this treatment. It can be taken orally, via injection or by means of the veins. What is significant is the dosage of administering this remedy. But there is a setback. The treatment can also destroy non-cancer cells. Chemotherapy can not distinguish a good cell from a cancer cell. Radiation therapy on the other hand use radioactive substances to target and ruin the DNA of the cancer cells. An exterior machine can be employed or a radioactive material can be inserted into the human body and position it shut to the area impacted by the tumor. Like chemotherapy, radiation treatment can also injury typical human body cells. In consideration of the household of a cancer individual, they will also practical knowledge agony as they witness the physical hardships that their appreciate one particular is heading by way of. While conclusive outcomes have not been recorded, early phases of NSCLC or SCLC are statistically easier to treatment than late phases.

Mesothelioma symptoms

Mesothelioma symptoms

Article by Traff

Symptoms of mesothelioma may not appear until 20 to 50 years after exposure to asbestos. Shortness of breath, cough, and pain in the chest due to an accumulation of fluid in the pleural space are often symptoms of pleural mesothelioma.

Symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma include weight loss and cachexia, abdominal swelling and pain due to ascites (a buildup of fluid in the abdominal cavity). Other symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma may include bowel obstruction, blood clotting abnormalities, anemia, and fever. If the cancer has spread beyond the mesothelium to other parts of the body, symptoms may include pain, trouble swallowing, or swelling of the neck or face.

These symptoms may be caused by mesothelioma or by other, less serious conditions.

Mesothelioma that affects the pleura can cause these signs and symptoms:

* chest wall pain * pleural effusion, or fluid surrounding the lung * shortness of breath * fatigue or anemia * wheezing, hoarseness, or cough * blood in the sputum (fluid) coughed up (hemotypsis)

In severe cases, the person may have many tumor masses. The individual may develop a pneumothorax, or collapse of the lung. The disease may metastasize, or spread, to other parts of the body.

Tumors that affect the abdominal cavity often do not cause symptoms until they are at a late stage. Symptoms include:

* abdominal pain * ascites, or an abnormal buildup of fluid in the abdomen * a mass in the abdomen * problems with bowel function * weight loss

In severe cases of the disease, the following signs and symptoms may be present:

* blood clots in the veins, which may cause thrombophlebitis * disseminated intravascular coagulation, a disorder causing severe bleeding in many body organs * jaundice, or yellowing of the eyes and skin * low blood sugar level * pleural effusion * pulmonary emboli, or blood clots in the arteries of the lungs * severe ascites

A mesothelioma does not usually spread to the bone, brain, or adrenal glands. Pleural tumors are usually found only on one side of the lungs.

How to Prevent Lung Cancer?

How to Prevent Lung Cancer?

Article by james sameul

Lung cancer is a disease of uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung. This growth may lead to metastasis, invasion of adjacent tissue and infiltration beyond the lungs. Lung cancer can affect everyone, that is why we should try on prevent this terrible ‘disease’. I will give you some ways how YOU!! can prevent lung cancer.

Lung Cancer – Prevention

The easiest way to avoid lung cancer is to stop smoking. It may be difficult to quit but it is not impossible. Millions of people have done it and those who quit lessen their chances of developing lung cancer by two-thirds.

Ninety percent of people who stop smoking do it on their own so start now before it’s too late. If you find that hard to do, you can join smoking cessation classes or enroll in a clinic that offers the same service. Choose the program that makes the most sense to you and enlist the help of friends or loved ones to make things easier for you.

Taking in high amounts of beta-carotenes can also lower the risk of lung cancer in smokers. Carotenoid compounds are found in certain produce like peaches, mangoes, melon, squash, sweet potatoes, pumpkins and green leafy vegetables. Beta-carotene supplement however should be avoided. A study conducted by a Finnish group indicated that an 18 percent rise in lung cancer cases was seen in heavy smokers who were taking beta-carotene supplements. Moreover, the National Cancer Institute researchers also stopped their study on the effects of vitamin A and beta-carotene after smokers who were taking the supplements showed 28 percent more lung cancer than those taking placebos.

Stopping smoking reduces the risk of someone developing lung cancer, but the genetic damage it causes takes time to disappear – and half of all newly-diagnosed lung cancers occur in former smokers.

A cancerous tumor in the lung is usually removed surgically. It is sometimes necessary to remove an entire lobe of the lung. Because lung cancers are usually not detected until they are well advanced, surgery alone may not be able to eliminate them, and radiation and chemotherapy may be used in combination with or in place of surgery,” explained the editors of Consumer Guide’s “Family Health & Medical Guide.

Because the substance didn’t damage the healthy cells, researchers say the agent may hold great potential for both prevention and treatment of lung cancer. They say deguelin is highly specific and seems to work by zeroing in on a particular molecular pathway associated with lung cancer.

Stop smoking. The number one cause of lung cancer is smoking. Studies show that even lifetime smokers who quit can drastically reduce their chances of getting lung cancer.

Add plenty of fruits and vegetables, like cranberries and beans, to your diet. These foods are high in antioxidants and flavonoids, which work to repair cellular damage and guard your DNA. Doctors believe adding fruits and vegetables to your diet can prevent lung cancer.

Diet

Recent studies on the connection between diet and lung cancer have shown mixed results. One study shows that eating a diet rich in nutrients called phytoestrogens may help reduce your risk of lung cancer.17 Phytoestrogens are found in a wide variety of whole grains, legumes such as chickpeas, vegetables, and soy products. Other research shows that taking supplements of beta-carotene and other vitamins may actually be harmful and increase the risk of lung cancer in people who continue to smoke.

There are many things you can do if you consider yourself to be a high risk for cancer. The following is a simple list followed by detains for each item on the list.

Mammograms – Is all that radiation necessary? Safe? No. No.
Antioxidants – Nothing beats Cantron and Protocel.
Ellagic acid is a good preventative for some cancers.
IP-6 a good preventative and treatment for most cancers.
Cooked Foods and Safe Cooking reduce breast cancer Irradiated foods there is some cancer risk, better to wash your food.
Wearing Brassieres all day prevents lymph circulation.
Parabens found in many lotions may be dangerous.
Sunlight is one of the best cancer preventatives.
Vitamin D up to 70% reduction in cancer,
Love as a Preventative is not as hard as you might think.

Mammography and Mammograms
The section presents evidence concerning the dangers and short comings of mammograms and presents a couple of alternatives for breast cancer detection.
Dangers of Radiation
Dr. John Gofman, M.D., Ph. D. who was the biomedical director and associate director of the Atomic Energy Commission’s Livermore National Laboratory and is now Professor Emeritus, Molecular and Cell Biology, at the University of California, Berkeley and is also on the faculty at the University of California Medical School at San Francisco (UCSF), has written an extensive study** to support his hypothesis that medical radiation is probably the principal cause of cancer mortality in the United States.
The Moss report Mammograpy – the Hidden Downside** presents and often overlooked aspect of mammograms:
“Mammography is undoubtedly good at picking up slow-growing cancers. It is also good at detecting so-called ‘in situ’ lesions, that is, the latent, precancerous lesions that have not yet developed – and might never develop – into truly invasive cancers. But these are not the kinds of breast cancer that are most likely to kill. That distinction belongs to the faster-growing tumors, and it is precisely these faster growing malignancies that mammography typically fails to catch.”
Also quoted in this Moss Report, Prof. Samuel Epstein, MD, of the University of Illinois pointed out:
“Even assuming that high quality screening of a population of women between the ages of 50 and 69 would reduce breast cancer mortality by up to 25 percent, yielding a reduced relative risk of 0.75, the chances of any individual woman benefiting are remote. For women in this age group, about 4 percent are likely to develop breast cancer annually, about one in four of whom, or 1 percent overall, will die from this disease. Thus, the 0.75 relative risk applies to this 1 percent, so 99.75 percent of the women screened are unlikely to benefit” (Epstein 2001).
Better/Safer Testing – Thermograms
DITI, or digital infrared thermal imaging, also called a thermogram, is a safe diagnostic test that measures changes in skin surface temperature. An infrared scanning camera detects skin surface temperatures and shows them on a color monitor. In healthy people, there is a symmetrical skin pattern. Breast cancer appears as an irregular pattern.
DITI has been used in human medicine for the past 20 years. Recent break-troughs in PC-based designed has allowed more practitioners to be able to afford the equipment. Most Naturopaths in your area will be aware of this type of testing. Some have thermogram practitioners come to their offices on a periodic basis.
See also AMAS For Early Detection under the Safer Tests subsection of the Home page.

Antioxidants
Even the FDA has agreed that antioxidants act as cancer preventatives. Cantron and Protocel are among the most powerful antioxidants ever tested so they can be used as a preventative. When taking them as a preventative, a reduced schedule can be used and a person does not have to avoid all the things that interfere with Cantron or Protocel.

Ellagic Acid
Ellagic acid is a good preventative for these cancers:
Breast
Cervical
Colon
Esophageal
Leukemia
Liver
Lung
Pancreatic
Prostate
Skin
Tongue

Cesium Chloride
Cesium chloride with potassium is a good general preventative as is laetrile. All together, that makes five alternative cancer treatments that act to prevent cancer. Which one will work best with your unique body chemistry? Once again, the only way to tell is to test each on your body. A quick way to do this is to use the Alternative Cancer Test Kit. With the Test Kit you can energetically test $ 800 worth of treatments for only $ 39. For more information, click the Test Kit.

IP-6
IP-6, also known as inositol hexaphosphate, has shown effectiveness in preventing and treating a wide range of cancers including colon cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, chronic myeloid leukemia, rhabdomyosarcomas, pancreatic cancer, melanomas, and Barrett’s adenocarcinoma and can be given to cats and dogs.
IP6 has been studied for cancer prevention and treatment since the 1950s. For prevention most people are taking 500 to 1000 mg a day in two doses on an empty stomach. Those at high risk for cancer, fatty liver, or kidney stones are taking from 1000 to 2000 mg a day in two doses on an empty stomach. People with cancer are taking 4000 to 7000 mg a day in two doses on an empty stomach along with 1,200 – 1800 mg inositol.
Toxicity studies have shown that a daily dose of 9000 mg of IP-6 for 3 years did not produce harmful side effects.

Cooked Foods Increase Cancer in Women – Acrylamide
A 2007 Dutch study, the Cohort Study involving 120,000 people found that acrylamide, a chemical caused by frying, baking, roasting, or grilling can double the chances of women getting ovarian and womb cancer. Foods that are cooked less contain less acrylamide. Cutting the crust of of bread reduces the number of carbos and acrylamide. Home-cooked meals contain much lower amounts of the acrylamide than processed products, fast food, or restaurant food.

Safe Cooker – Solar Oven
The Solar Oven Society** is a not-for-profit organization. Every solar oven purchased in the USA helps offset the cost of sending solar ovens to Third World countries where the need for solar cooking is so great. Solar cooking is:
Safe because the temperature used kills bacteria but does not form acrylamide
Inexpensive because after the $ 150 oven purchase the fuel is free.
Healthy because it retains the enzymes in food which are essential for good health
To purchase the solar oven for $ 150 including shipping** (free shipping is significant, only companies that rarely get a return include shipping in the cost because they must refund shipping as well as the product cost) go to: http://solarovens.org/

Irradiated Foods
This is an excellent article** that explains the cancer risk, slight although present and a better alternative: washing your food.

Wearing Brassieres for Extended Periods
An extensive study of over 4700 women (2056 previously diagnosed with breast cancer, 2674 never diagnosed with breast cancer) was run by authors Sydney Ross Singer and Soma Grismaijer that indicated a positive correlation between breast cancer and the length of time that women wore bras per day.
Those who wore a bra all day long (defined in the study as any period more than 12 hours) had statistically 21 times greater risk of breast cancer than those who only wore a bra for only part of the day (defined in the study as any period up to 12 hours). Women who wore their bras all day and night (essentially 24 hours per day) had a 5 times greater chance of developing breast cancer than those who wore it all day-long.
The study conjectured that wearing a bra may constrict the flow of lymph fluid in the breast, which then causes the higher risk of breast cancer. Lymph fluid is the natural watery fluid which surrounds and bathes cells in body tissues. Lymph fluid carries disease-fighting cells and helps remove accumulated toxins, some of which may be carcinogenic (cancer-causing). The impaired flow of lymph fluid is thought to allow toxins to build up, thus causing breast tissue cells to be exposed to higher concentrations of cancer-causing toxins for longer periods of time. The study suggested that women wear their bras for fewer hours, thus giving their breasts time to “recover” and also not wearing bras that feel constrictive or tight.
For more details on the study, conducted by Sydney Ross Singer and Soma Grismaijer, see their book Dressed to Kill, (Avery Publishing Group, New York, 1995). ISBN 0-89529-664-0. Available from The Naturist Society, P.O. Box 132, Oshkosh, WI 54902, Tel. 414-426-5009.

Lotions Potions and Parabens
Parabens are preservatives that are found in most body lotions, deodorants, and shampoos. In 2004 the University of Reading tested 20 human breast tumors for the presence of parabens. They found parabens in every tumor. Apparently parabens had seeped into breast tissue after being applied to the skin in the form of lotions or deodorants. The reason this is significant is that parabens are able to mimic the action of the female hormone estrogen. Although more research is needed it seems prudent to reduce your exposure to parabens. Also 1,4-Dioxane, a by-product of short cut manufactureing, is considered a chemical known to cause cancer. The following are parabens and 1,4-Dioxane free brands of lotion: Aubrey Organics, Dr. Hauschka, Nourish Food for Your Healthy Skin, EO, Avalon Organics, Burt’s Bees, Desert Essence, and Zia.

Sunlight
Contrary to popular belief, sunlight has the highest success rate for:
Safely stopping tumor growth, not destroying tumors (the only effect that conventional medicine recognizes), but stopping growth.
Preventing cancer by stimulating the body’s vitamin D production.
Preventing influenza like the bird flu also by vitamin D production.
Fair skin and the number of moles are the major risk factor for melanoma (ski

Treating Mesothelioma

Treating Mesothelioma

Article by Jennifer White

Mesothelioma is a cancerous disease that affects the serous linings of various internal organs in the human body. Among them, the lungs, heart and the stomach are widely affected.

It is estimated that each year 2,000 new cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed. The patients suffering from this cancerous disease have prior exposure to asbestos, which is considered to be the only known cause of mesothelioma. Mesotheliomic patients are often told of their short survival duration of 6 – 12 months, but doctors specialized in treating malignant mesothelioma at leading cancer centers expect more. Though mesothelioma causes immense pain and suffering to the victim, along with short life expectancy, certain treatments have resulted in the successful reduction and removal of the cancerous tumors of mesothelioma.

In this article, we will elaborate on the significant treatments available to patients suffering from the asbestos- related cancer (mesothelioma). Please be advised that only a professional doctor specializing in cancer can diagnose mesothelioma. It is recommended for patients suffering from the symptoms of mesothelioma, to consult a cancer specialist for a possible treatment. After examining medical reports and asbestos-exposure history, the doctor can announce the preliminary diagnosis. The doctor can also conduct a needle biopsy to finalize the diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma. For more relevant and latest Mesothelioma Information and diagnosing mesothelioma, check out www.mesoblog.org. Additionally, it is noteworthy that the treatment of mesothelioma depends on many factors, including the stage of the cancer, the circulation of the malignant cells, pathology reports determining the nature of the cancer cells and patient’s age and health.

Following are the mesothelioma treatment options available to the patients for treating the cancer:

*Surgery*Chemotherapy*Radiation or Radiotherapy*Immunotherapy*Clinical Trails*Complementary Therapy *Nutrition *Fitness and Exercise *Meditation and Stress Reduction

Treating mesothelioma is not an easy task. It requires immense pain endurance and patience. Nonetheless, with proper treatment and medications, along with the love and support from the family members and friends, mesothelioma can be controlled.
