Not to mention that the survival rate for stage iv lung cancer is very low, a patient needs to undergo therapies or other alternative treatments to prolong his or her survival rate.
A patient must not depend with the treatments only. Know how to discipline yourself. Start by quitting cigarette or tobacco smoking, avoid exposure to radon gas, asbestos fiber and other chemicals that can cause cancer.
Live a healthy lifestyle. Eat foods that are rich in nutrients and vitamin c. Apples for example are high in flavonoids and antioxidants. Exercise lightly and make sure to avoid caffeine and other stimulants. For it can only increase the risk of lung cancer.
Remember, treatments for stage iv lung cancer will not cure the disease but rather helps to relieve the pain and symptoms only. Other factors for you to live longer is up to you. Avoiding cigarette or tobacco smoking and switching to a healthy and fruitful lifestyle is an essential part of prevention. Live positively and make the most of your life before the killer disease can take away your life from you.
